I agree that a PLog is not really useful on a local flight. However, unless I am missing something, it is the only place where one can find the Off-Block- and takeoff times during a flight, and this info can be crucial in several scenarios.

Any chance to implement a "basic" PLog for such flights or make the times available somewhere else?

Those boxes are for filling in with a pencil. Perhaps you are looking for the Logs facility, which can be used after a flight to see when you took off and landed, and (if you start logging manually) can also be used to log engine time?

I am well aware of the very useful "logs" facility to get the data after termination of the flight. But what I am actually looking for is the "log start" and "takeoff" times during a flight, for example to make a flight of a certain duration.

When planni‌ng a flight from A to B the PLog shown in flight mode looks like this (only showing the manually triggered "log start" in this case, as I am sitting on my desk and not actually flying - normally it would show the takeoff time as well). No need to fill in anythin with a pencil

When planning a local flight, there is no PLog ‌‌available and thus also no way to get the actual off-block- and takeoff times during the flight:

Ah, I see, thank you for clarifying. You are absolutely correct; there is no way to access the log for the current flight. We hope to create a PLOG for local flights this year.
